Council ask for comments on their Core Strategy

Islington Council has released the latest draft of its Core Strategy - the plan for the future of the borough up to 2025. As well as setting out how different parts of the borough will develop the Core Strategy also sets out Islington’s approach to important issues such as how they will improve the built environment, provide affordable housing, respond to climate change, and provide employment and community facilities. The Core Strategy sets the agenda for future planning policy documents which together form the Local Development Framework.

Over the last year they have sought the views of stakeholders on these and other issues and have used these to help inform a first draft of the plan called the Core Strategy Direction of Travel. The council have requested views from different stakeholders over the next few weeks will use these to help inform a final draft to be published this autumn.
