Businesses at the Angel have shown how generous and public-spirited they are by voting to renew the BID which means that in a climate of cuts and economic uncertainty they are still prepared to pay for extra police and cleaner streets to benefit everyone who lives, works and visits the Angel.

Businesses have shown such faith in us that out of 191 who voted, 155 voted YES. This represents 81.2% of the turnout. We have achieved 85.5% of the rateable value of those who voted. The turnout was 47%.

“No one can fail to see and feel how much better it is at the Angel, and this is directly as a result of businesses being prepared to put their hands in their pockets and fund extra services such as nine more police officers, street scrubbing, Christmas lights, and flower baskets,” says Angel AIM Director Christine Lovett.

“This translates directly into benefits for everyone..”
