“Shopwatch – it’s a buddy system, it’s Facebook for local businesses, everyone should connect with it.”

That was the view of Simon Tarr of After Noah in Upper Street after the recent meeting of shops signed up to our radiolink scheme connecting businesses together, enabling them to be pro-active and warn each other about shoplifters or anti-social gangs heading their way.

 Our Shopwatch scheme currently has 60 retailers signed up from every corner of the Angel AIM area, from the small one-person jeweller to the large multi-national chain, and we’re trying to encourage every shop to get involved. It’s all about taking control and letting criminals know we’ve spotted them and that the Angel is a no-go area for crime.
