Hurrah. We’re now on the home strait as far as the roadworks go.
As part of their £2.1m transformation of the Angel streetscape, Transport for London are now repaving Pentonville Road from Baron Street to Angel junction, and getting rid of any unnecessary signs.
This will be finished by September when the absolutely last phase of work will start at the junction itself – widening the crossings, relaying pavements, removing the guard rails and re-timing the lights to make it safer to cross and better for traffic flow. Everything will be finished by Christmas. It’s been a business, but what an improvement!
