You probably don’t ever want to hear the word roadworks again, or hear the sound of a drill, or see a cloud of dust rising as you’re walking along the pavement. But hopefully you’ll now be able to see how the £2m package of Transport for London improvements is transforming the Angel.

• Work starts along both sides of Pentonville Road from Baron Street to Angel junction early this month to level the pavements and realign curbs at the turn into Baron Street to stop vehicles running over the corner
• Angel junction itself will be getting a makeover this spring too – TfL are currently working on detailed designs to make it safer and wider for crossing, now people are working at the Angel Centre, and improving traffic flow.
